Where My ADHD Brain Finally Stopped Losing Ideas

A quick note: this post contains an affiliate link for Airtable, the tool I actually use every single day to run this whole operation. If you click through and sign up, I may earn a small credit at no extra cost to you. Thanks so much for supporting ACM Creations this way!

My brain doesn't really do "one idea at a time." It's more like pop-pop-squirrel-squirrel — I'll sit down wanting to work on Pinterest, and by the time that thought finishes I also want to rebuild my Etsy tags, start three new blog posts, and take over Instagram, all in the same sitting, all today.

For a long time that just meant most of it never happened, or it happened once and then vanished because I never wrote it down anywhere I could actually find again.

Voice memos changed that first, honestly, more than any app did. I record them wherever I actually have a free minute — driving to Costco after school drop-off, at work when I can free-talk without worrying about saying the right thing to anyone.

I don't do it when people are home, because they think I'm talking to myself. Which, I mean, I am. But those memos used to just sit in my phone doing nothing. Now I copy the transcript, paste it in, and it becomes something real instead of a thought that existed for four minutes in my car and then disappeared.

The bigger shift was connecting all of it — Claude and Airtable and my running projects — so nothing lives in only one place anymore. I've got separate Claude Projects by topic, Etsy in one, blog and affiliate in another, and when I open either one, everything we've already discussed is just there.

I'm not re-explaining myself every time, and I'm not relying on my own memory to hold onto an idea I had three weeks ago at a stoplight.

I built this specifically because I don't want anything falling through the cracks anymore — not a good idea, not a half-finished thought, not a blog angle I'll wish I'd written down later. If your brain works anything like mine, that alone might be worth more to you than any single feature in here.

The free Airtable Quick-Start Guide + Ideas Tracker is the first piece of that — grab it free, join the Waitlist for the Full Course while you're there, and check out my other posts for the rest of the free tools in this system.

Already living in Airtable? The Airtable Command Center is this whole system — pins, ideas, links, voice memos, all of it — built out and ready for you to duplicate. $9.89, no rebuilding from scratch.

If there's one thing you'll learn about me, it's that I'd rather build a system once than do the same thing the hard way over and over. Whether that's a voice memo prompt, an Airtable base that actually holds itself together, or a shortcut that makes me think, "why didn't I build this sooner?", I'm grateful you're here and I hope you found something that makes your own system feel a little more possible. Wishing you clarity, momentum, and a lot less overwhelm wherever you're building.
