I used to keep my vitamins in a med container in the downstairs bathroom.

Which sounds organized. It was not organized. It meant I saw them exactly never, except for the split second I was brushing my teeth and definitely not thinking about supplements. Out of sight really is out of mind — I say this to clients all the time, and then it took me embarrassingly long to apply it to my own life.

I still remember one particular morning — half a granola bar in one hand, someone’s backpack strap in the other, telling a kid for the third time that yes, we are leaving, right now — realizing at the drop-off line that I hadn’t eaten breakfast, let alone thought about a vitamin.

That’s not a one-off morning. That’s most mornings, if I’m honest, when you’re the one running three kids’ worth of logistics on top of your own.

The bigger issue underneath that, though, was the sheer number of things I was trying to organize. Individual bottles for individual vitamins, trying to remember what I’d already taken, what I still needed, whether I’d actually hit everything my body needed that day.

It was its own tiny morning project, every single morning — one more thing on a list that was already too long before I’d had coffee.

This is the one that actually changed my morning. Instead of juggling a dozen different bottles trying to cover all my bases, IM8 replaces basically all of that with one drink. I scoop it out, mix it with cold water or juice, shake it up, and that’s it — one thing instead of sixteen.

I’m the person taking the pictures, driving the carpool, managing the schedule, and running on whatever energy I’ve got left after everyone else’s needs are met. I don’t have room in my mornings for a complicated supplement routine, and I definitely don’t have room for decision fatigue before 8am.

Having one drink that covers what I need means I can actually be consistent with it, which is the whole point — a perfect supplement routine you don’t stick to isn’t actually helping you.

Why I Love It:

✓ Replaces a dozen separate supplements with one daily drink

✓ Genuinely simple — scoop, mix, shake, done

✓ One thing to be consistent with instead of ten things to forget

✓ Fits into a morning that’s already full of everyone else’s needs first

The System That Makes It Stick

The other half of this is proximity, plain and simple. If a thing isn’t somewhere I’m going to see it, I’m not going to do it — vitamins included.

So the night before, I pull my Mason jar out, portion things out, and set it on the counter with everything else I’m prepping for the morning, right alongside the kids’ cups and whatever else needs to happen before we’re out the door.

It’s not a fancy system and it’s not supposed to be — it’s one jar, sitting where I can’t miss it, instead of a container tucked in a bathroom cabinet I only open twice a day without really looking at it.

That one small habit — seeing the thing instead of hoping I remember the thing — has done more for my consistency than any amount of willpower ever did. It’s object permanence over willpower, honestly.

You don’t have to remember, you just have to look. And because it sits with the rest of morning prep, it’s one system instead of five separate ones I’d inevitably let slide.

Real Travel Note: This same proximity trick works for anything you’re actually trying to be consistent with. If it lives out of sight, it’s out of mind — full stop. Put it where you’ll actually see it, and half the battle is already won.

None of this is about being perfectly disciplined every single day — some mornings still go sideways no matter how much I prep. But when everything else is chaos, being able to say “at least I had my IM8 ” is a genuinely full win. Small, visible, prepped-the-night-before wins add up.

If there’s one thing you’ll learn about me, it’s that I love finding things that make life feel a little easier. Whether that’s a travel essential, a parenting hack, a cozy self-care find, or something that simply makes me think, “Why didn’t I know about this sooner?”

I’m grateful you’re here and I hope you found something helpful. Wishing you comfort, calm, and a little less overwhelm wherever life takes you.
