The Bidet That Made My Husband a Believer (Our Honest Tushy 3.0 Review)
For Father's Day this year, we got my husband a Tushy 3.0 — a bidet attachment that hooks right onto your existing toilet. I always joked that I thought you had to be Beyoncé and Jay-Z to have a bidet in your house, but it turns out Tushy makes it genuinely affordable to have one, no fancy plumbing required.
♥ The TUSHY Classic 3.0 Bidet Attachment — I got ours on Amazon for around $130 CAD plus tax. It comes in this cute little box with hilarious packaging and marketing, along with the hose you connect from your water line to the unit itself.
I did the whole installation myself in about half an hour, following the instruction manual plus a quick YouTube video straight from Tushy walking through the steps. Genuinely easy, no special tools, no plumber required.
What It's Actually Like to Use
The first time I used it, I underestimated the water pressure and yelped loud enough that my husband knocked on the door to check if I was okay — not exactly the graceful introduction I was picturing, but that's on me for not starting on the lowest setting.
Once you find your own pressure sweet spot on the dial, it becomes second nature within a couple of days. The first try, though, is definitely a moment.
Nobody mentions the water temperature going in, either. Ours only does cold, since we skipped the warm-water model, and in the middle of summer that's honestly refreshing.
I'll be curious how I feel about it in the dead of winter with the bathroom already cold — that's the one thing I'd actually consider upgrading for down the road.
And I'll be honest about the adjustment period for the whole household, not just me. My husband was the last holdout, insisting for weeks he didn't need it, until he actually tried it instead of just humoring me.
Now he's the one bringing it up to other people unprompted, which after all those eye-rolls every time I mentioned it is a small, satisfying win. The one real downside: remembering to towel-dry properly before getting dressed. Skip that step once while rushing out the door and you will absolutely remember for next time.
Why We Actually Use It
Beyond the obvious hygiene win, a couple of things surprised me. We've noticed our toilet paper lasts noticeably longer since the water is doing the real cleaning first — I couldn't give you the exact math, but buying it in bulk has gone from a monthly thing to something we do every couple of months.
And from a female-hygiene standpoint, it's honestly amazing on your period — being able to give yourself a quick rinse before dealing with a pad, tampon, or menstrual cup or disc makes a noticeably big difference in how clean you feel by the end of the day.
I'll admit, I even went down a little rabbit hole Googling whether you can use it to rinse out a menstrual disc instead of doing that awkward walk-of-shame rinse at the sink.
You do have to be mindful of water pressure so you're not, well, redecorating your bathroom — but on a low stream, it works great, and if you want the full story on that side of things I wrote all about it in my post on switching to a menstrual disc.
My husband, who was admittedly skeptical for longer than he'd probably like to admit, is now fully converted. If you've been on the fence wondering if a bidet is really worth it, this is your sign — it's a small upgrade that makes a genuinely big difference in your daily routine.

If there's one thing you'll learn about me, it's that I love finding things that make life feel a little easier. Whether that's a travel essential, a parenting hack, a cozy self-care find, or something that simply makes me think, "Why didn't I know about this sooner?"
I'm grateful you're here and I hope you found something helpful. Wishing you comfort, calm, and a little less overwhelm wherever life takes you.
