My Hair Removal Countdown Before Our Fall Trip (Ulike Air 10 Timeline)

I am not someone who starts vacation prep early. I am someone who remembers things exist about six weeks before I actually need them, which, conveniently, is also exactly how far out you need to start with an at-home IPL device if you want real results by the time you're at the pool. So consider this my actual countdown, not the "start three months in advance" fantasy nobody with kids and a job has time for.
We're headed back down south in the Fall, and this time I'm not scrambling the week before. Here's the real timeline I'm following with the Ulike Air 10, based on what actually worked with my Air 3 before our last two trips.
6–8 Weeks Out: Start Ramping Up
This is starting-in-September territory for me. Two to three sessions a week, full coverage on whatever areas you're prioritizing. This is the phase that actually matters most — it's when you're catching hair in the earliest part of its growth cycle, which is the whole point of IPL. I learned this the hard way with my Air 3 before Cuba: the first month of real consistency is what set up everything after it.
4 Weeks Out: Drop to Twice a Week

Once you've put in that first solid stretch, you can ease off without losing progress. Twice a week is enough to keep catching new growth without it feeling like a second job. This is usually the point where I notice things actually slowing down on their own — less regrowth, less stubble between sessions, which makes the whole thing feel less like a chore and more like maintenance.
2 Weeks Out: Once a Week, Final Passes
By this point you're just tidying up. One session a week catches whatever's trying to sneak back in before departure. This is also realistically the point where, with my ADHD brain, I need to set an actual reminder, because "two weeks out" feels deceptively far away right up until it isn't.
The Last 3–4 Days: The Hail Mary
Here's the part that's very on-brand for me: I don't taper off in the final days. I do the opposite. The last 3 or 4 days before we fly, I use it every single day — a real hail mary push to squeeze out every bit of extra progress before we land at the resort. Is that the textbook approach? Probably not. Does it feel like the ADHD version of cramming for a test the night before? Absolutely. But it's the honest version of my routine, not the tidy one, and it's worked well enough that I keep doing it every trip.
Why I'm Actually Following This Timeline This Time
I bought this device back in January, used it hard before our April trip, and then didn't touch it for months — and even with that gap, my results held up better than I expected. That's the honest reason I trust this countdown enough to actually follow it this time instead of winging it the week before: I've already seen what happens when I do this right, and what happens when I completely forget it exists. Right now is when the six-week clock starts for October, and for once, I'm actually on it.

If there's one thing you'll learn about me, it's that I love finding things that make life feel a little easier.
Whether that's a travel essential, a parenting hack, a cozy self-care find, or something that simply makes me think, “Why didn't I know about this sooner?”
I'm grateful you're here and I hope you found something helpful.
Wishing you comfort, calm, and a little less overwhelm wherever life takes you.
